Slack

Find the update behind the next step.

A customer decision may be sitting in a team thread. On accounts with Slack context enabled, Ask can use Slack messages to help you find the detail behind your question.

Available connection

Connecting Slack is available. Message access in Ask depends on your account’s enabled tools. Slack search also requires your own opt-in.

Find the handoff detail before you call the buyer.

Ask what changed in the customer handoff. Slack context must be enabled for your account, and Slack search needs your opt-in.

When this helps

Before a customer handoff

Ask about an update in the relevant team conversation when Slack context is enabled for your account. Check its source before carrying that update into the customer call.

When a decision is buried in a thread

Use a focused question to look for the decision you need. Read the cited message in context, then decide how it affects the next step with the buyer.

Before your next call.

Connect Slack from Settings, then Integrations in the Mac app. Enable Slack search only if you want it. Check an Ask answer’s sources to see which messages informed it.
